Frequently asked questions

Questions, answered.

What we handle, how the packages work, and what happens when things change. If we missed something, just ask.

Getting started

We handle the day-to-day work that keeps a small business running, so you don't have to hire and manage several different people to do it. We're based in Newport, Rhode Island and work with clients remotely across the country.

There are five things we do:

  • Inbox management and organization. We sort your email, answer what we can in your voice, flag what needs you, and keep it filed.
  • Calendar management and appointment setting. We book meetings, confirm them, send reminders, and protect your focus time.
  • Social media management and marketing. We plan, write, schedule, and post your content, handle comments and messages, and report on what's working.
  • Admin assistance and project management. Documents, data entry, invoicing support, vendor follow-up, and keeping projects on track.
  • Website services and web development. Custom-built websites, plus the systems behind them like client databases, lead pipelines, and integrations.

You can take the first three as our Essentials package, or all five as Professional. Either way you get one team, one invoice, and one point of contact instead of juggling a virtual assistant, a social media freelancer, and a web developer separately.

Yes. We're based in Newport, Rhode Island, and we work with clients across the country. Everything we do is delivered remotely, so your location doesn't affect the service.

We keep normal business hours on Eastern Time, and we coordinate around your schedule if you're in another time zone.

Send us a note through the contact form describing what's eating your week. We'll reply within one business day, usually with a few questions or an offer to hop on a short call.

From there we recommend a package and hour tier, send you a flat quote, and once you're comfortable we handle onboarding , getting access set up, learning your voice and preferences, and starting work.

Services & scope

Almost always, yes. The five service lines describe the work we do most often. They aren't a fence around what we're willing to take on.

If it's business support work or something that can be built, ask us. Common requests that fall outside the standard list include:

  • CRM setup, cleanup, and data migration
  • Research, list building, and outreach support
  • Document creation , proposals, decks, spreadsheets, templates
  • Vendor and client communication on your behalf
  • Custom internal tools, dashboards, portals, and automations
  • Bookkeeping support and invoice chasing
  • Event and travel coordination

The honest answer is that if you can describe it, we can usually do it. And if it's genuinely outside our wheelhouse, we'll tell you straight rather than take your money and figure it out later.

Just ask. The fastest way to find out is to describe what you need. We'll tell you yes or no within one business day.

Yes. The packages exist because most clients need several things handled, but we're happy to build an arrangement around a single service line if that's where the pain is.

Tell us what you need and we'll quote it directly.

You work with a small, consistent team, not a rotating pool of contractors. The same people learn your business, your voice, and your preferences, so quality doesn't reset every month.

You'll have one point of contact for everything, no matter how many service lines you're using.

Packages, hours & changes

Yes, always. Businesses change, and your support should change with them. You're never locked into the tier you start on.

Increasing hours or upgrading from Essentials to Professional can happen at any time, and we can usually put it into effect right away. We'll prorate the difference for the current period.

Reducing hours or downgrading is also fine. We just ask for 30 days' notice so we can plan coverage and hand off cleanly. The reduction takes effect at the start of your next billing cycle after that notice period.

Plenty of clients start at a lower tier to see how it goes, then scale up once they've built the habit of handing work off. That's a completely normal way to do this.

We'll flag it before it happens, not after. If you're trending over, we'll tell you and give you the choice: hold the extra work until next month, or approve the additional hours.

We don't bill surprise overages. Any hours beyond your tier are approved by you in advance.

Unused hours generally don't roll over. The tiers are priced for reserved, ongoing capacity rather than a bucket of hours.

That said, if you have an unusually light month followed by a heavy one, talk to us. We're reasonable, and we'd rather keep a good client than be rigid about a technicality.

No long-term lock-in. Services run month to month.

If you want to stop or reduce service, we ask for 30 days' written notice so the transition is orderly: accounts handed back, work in progress wrapped up, and nothing left dangling.

Billing & payment

Payment is always up front, covering the next 30 days of service. You're billed at the start of each service period, and work begins once payment is received.

There are no hidden charges. Your monthly rate is set by the package and hour tier you choose, and anything beyond that is approved by you in advance.

We accept all major forms of payment, including:

  • PayPal
  • Zelle
  • ACH / bank transfer
  • Major credit and debit cards
  • Check, for clients who prefer it

We'll send an invoice with payment instructions, and we're happy to set up a recurring arrangement so you're not thinking about it each month.

Pricing depends on which package you choose, Essentials or Professional, and which monthly hour tier fits your workload.

Every quote is flat and scoped before anything starts, so you know the number in advance. No hourly meters, no surprise invoices.

Tell us what's on your plate and we'll recommend a tier and send you a quote within one business day.

For standalone web development projects, we typically ask for a deposit before work begins, with the balance due at delivery. The exact split is spelled out in your quote before you commit.

If web development is part of a Professional package, it's covered by your monthly hours instead.

Access, ownership & security

Yes. To manage your inbox, calendar, or social profiles, we need appropriate access. We use the least access necessary to do the job, and wherever possible we use delegated access or team permissions rather than sharing passwords.

Access is revocable by you at any time, and when an engagement ends we return and relinquish everything.

Yes. You own it outright. Upon full payment, the custom work we create for you, including your website code, content, data, and domain, belongs to you.

There's no platform rent, no proprietary builder you're stuck inside, and no hostage situation if you ever decide to work with someone else. That's a core part of how we operate.

Your business information, credentials, and customer data are treated as confidential, used only to perform your services, and never sold or shared with unrelated third parties. That obligation continues after our work together ends.

You can read the specifics in our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
